Classes
AGES/LEVEL
Preschool (3-4 years):
This program is a combination program of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. It is a half hour class where the preschooler explores the basics to dance in a creative and innovative atmosphere.
Pre-Primary/Primary (5-6 years):
The pre-primary/primary programs are offered in any of the following disciplines; Ballet, Tap, or Jazz. At this level the class usually runs for 40-45 minutes, and covers the basics to the studied discipline as well as exploring dance technique.
Junior(Competitive) & Graded Classes(Recreational) (7-9 years):
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Acro. At this level Students may want to aspire to more then one class per week or even to study at the competitive level.
Intermediate(Competitive) & Graded Classes(Recreational) (10-12 years):
Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Acro. At this level if the dancer is competitive there are necessary class components required to compete. If the dancer remains recreational, again they may aspire to study 2 maybe 3 different disciplines.
Advanced Competitive and Recreational (13+ years):
Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary/modern, and Acro. At this level a competitive advanced dancer is now in a series of classes per week, studying appropriate dance technique intensifies as they become more serious towards attaining a possible career in dance. A recreational advanced dancer may consider the competitive program at this time as they may already be studying more than 4 disciplines per week, or may wish to remain recreational to just have fun learning the fundamentals in dance.
Teen Classes:
Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballet classes are offered to teens. Teens also participate in the year end recital.

DISCIPLINES
Ballet
Students in our ballet program study the R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) method of ballet. Open methods of ballet are explored as well as floor barre and other strengthening ballet techniques.
Breakdance & Hip Hop
Our Breakdance and Hip Hop classes explore popping and locking, basic to advanced floor work for breakdance, old school Hip Hop as well as new pop versions. Break circles, across the floor and routines are the basis to class structure.
Contemporary/modern
Based on the Graham, Limon and Cunningham techniques, our modern classes explore innovative and creative ways of developing simple to complex routines.
Jazz
Emphasis is on technique and choreography. Jazz technique classes include warm-up, center exercises, turns and across the floor technique. Jumps and combinations are explored in every class as well as some street jazz combinations.
Lyrical
Lyrical classes explore the combination of both ballet and jazz, the mixture of the two are demonstrated in center floor, across the floor exercises as well as combinations and choreography.
Tap
Rhythm, technique, style, tap terminology and choreography are the guidelines in our tap classes. All classes explore the above as well as just gettin down and goin crazy in those tap shoes.
Musical Theatre
Our Musical Theatre classes explore the combination of song and dance.
Acro
Our Acro classes explore tricks, turns and tumbling.
