DANCE STYLES
BALLET

Students in our Ballet program study the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) method. Ballet provides the essential foundation for developing body alignment, technique, musicality, and fluid, expressive movement. Ultimate Dance Company offers both recreational ballet classes and exam-level training for dancers seeking a more formal progression.
JAZZ

Jazz at Ultimate Dance Company blends strong technique with exciting choreography. Classes feature an engaging warm-up, centre work, turns, across-the-floor exercises, jumps, and combinations. Dancers develop flexibility, strength, and coordination, building both artistry and confidence.
ACRO

Acrobatic dance blends classical dance technique with the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Training focuses on balancing, limbering, tumbling, and partnering, all supported by flexibility and strength. Ultimate Dance Company is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio and proudly offers Acrobatic Arts exams.
TAP

Tap classes focus on rhythm, style, technique, and timing. These high-energy sessions build intricate footwork through across-the-floor exercises and dynamic combinations.
LYRICAL

Lyrical classes blend the technique of Ballet with the style of Jazz. This fusion is explored through centre work, across-the-floor exercises, combinations, and choreography. Emphasis is placed on expressive, fluid movement and on connecting emotionally with the music and lyrics.
CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary dance is a constantly evolving style of movement driven by emotion. Rooted in modern dance techniques, it blends fluidity and strength, featuring grounded movements with an athletic and highly expressive approach.
HIP HOP

Our Hip Hop classes bring the energy with popping and locking, centre floor work from basic to advanced, and powerful combinations. Dancers groove to both classic old-school Hip Hop and the latest cutting-edge moves for a fun, dynamic experience.
MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical Theatre classes blend singing, dancing, and performance to capture the magic of the stage. Inspired by classic and contemporary Broadway hits, dancers build confidence, storytelling skills, and dynamic stage presence.
Breakdance

Learn the foundations of breaking—from Toprock and Go Downs to Footwork, Power, and Freezes—while adapting your own movements and skills with a breaking flair that adds character, style, and personality to your dance.
